Microneedling
Traditional microneedling focuses on creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface, triggering natural healing and collagen production for a smoother, more youthful appearance. The SkinPen Precision system is the only FDA-approved microneedling system and is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, deep folds, and scarring all over the body. This tool also promotes collagen and elastin production, reduces pore size, and tightens skin. Improvements are noticeable after the first treatment using the SkinPen Precision system, though we usually recommend a series of 3-4 treatments depending on your goals.
RF Microneedling
Unlike traditional microneedling, radiofrequency (RF) microneedling creates micro-injuries while also delivering radiofrequency energy deep into the skin for enhanced tightening and rejuvenation. RF microneedling is a quick procedure that results in reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, acne, and loose skin. At Alchemy MedSpa & Wellness Center, we use advanced devices like SylfirmX and Genius RF Microneedling for a deeper rejuvenation of the facial skin.
Microneedling helps improve skin tone and texture by stimulating collagen and elastin production. It can minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, and enlarged pores. It also enhances product absorption and promotes a more youthful, radiant complexion with minimal downtime and long-lasting results.
Recovery from microneedling is typically quick. Most clients experience mild redness and inflammation—similar to a sunburn—for 24 to 72 hours. Skin may feel slightly dry or tight, but any visible signs usually resolve within a few days, making it easy to return to daily activities soon after treatment.
Microneedling is generally well tolerated. A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to keep you comfortable throughout the session. Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure or a scratching sensation, rather than pain. Any temporary discomfort fades quickly after the treatment.
